Great product! Expensive but awesome quality and looks chic! Definitely recommend
I love the sauna hats. The key benefit is the thickness, I have had others previously that were to thin and did not provide enough protection/cooling. Next I really like the leather strap in the back and how strong it is, I am hanging my hat up often to dry and such and other hats have ripped in the back due to that, not yours. I have two of the hats because I sauna daily so have one dry while using the other. Not a ton of enhancements to recommend, it’s the best sauna hat I have tried.
A Huge Upgrade From Standard Sauna Hats
I’ve been using this sauna hat six days a week for over two months, and it’s easily the best one I’ve owned. I’ve tried several others in the past, and they all fell short—fraying over time, no real structure, not adjustability, and lower-quality materials that eventually start to smell. And let’s be honest, most of them look pretty ridiculous too.
This hat is expensive, but the difference is obvious. The wool is thicker and higher quality, which actually keeps my head cooler during long sessions. It has enough structure to hold its shape making it easier to “air out”, fits multiple head sizes comfortably, doesn’t slide down, and still looks good after heavy use. If you use a sauna regularly, this hat is absolutely worth the investment.
Why have I been cooking my brain my whole life without a sauna hat?!
I used the sauna hat this week at hot yoga where it gets up to 110 degrees F for 60 minutes. It's a small sample size, but I felt about 30 percent less fatigued while wearing the hat. I also noticed my cool down period was significantly shorter after the class.
This hat was really comfortable and retained sweat well... recommend selling these at hot yoga spots.Let's normalize sauna hats and protect our brains!
Cleaning Instructions
1. Do not put it in the washing machine - Wool shrinks and this will destroy the hat. Always wash by hand.
2. Use cool water - Do not use hot water or you'll get shrinkage. Keep it under room temp.
3. Mild soap only - A gentle wool-friendly detergent or even a tiny bit of baby shampoo works. Avoid anything strong or scented.
4. Don’t scrub hard - Lightly press and swish it in the water. Focus on any spots, but don’t twist or wring.
5. Rinse carefully - Use cool water until all soap is gone.
6. Reshape while damp - Lay the hat on a clean towel, gently press out the water, reshape it, and let it dry flat. No hanging, hanging stretches wool.
7. Avoid heat - No dryer, no direct sun, no radiator. Air drying only.
8. For odor refresh (between washes) - Just air it out after each sauna session. Wool is naturally odor-resistant.
Frequency:
1. Rarely. Wool is naturally antimicrobial and odor-resistant, so it does not need frequent washing.
2. Every 10–15 sauna sessions is a good general rule unless it gets visibly dirty or damp with sweat that builds up.
3. Many owners go months without washing, just air it out after each use and it stays fresh.
4. If it starts to smell, feel heavy, or lose its shape from moisture, that’s the cue for a light hand-wash.
